Wood cabinets, going on 28 years hit the high road as powder coated steel assumed its place. As the owners embarked on their renovation, they decided to do away with the L-shape and island layout that had defined their space. In it’s place, two straight runs would form; one island and one band of cabinetry gliding along the walls. White was chosen because it was sleek and timeless, but also because it would truly show off the pulls from New York Hardware inherently allowing the cabinets to pop. The owners replaced the upper wall cabinets with open shelving and you’ll notice the nickel hinge detail that weave throughout this kitchen-- the owners loved the industrial edge it exuded. To top it off they took the ceiling up and with it floor-to-ceiling cabinet storage, installed new lighting, new appliances, and sourced a rich granite countertop. The renovation to this space, at one point a difficult decision has only allowed for loved ones to congregate more often in the family's favorite space that spills out into their Jacuzzi and pool-- their kitchen.
