Palm Springs, California
As a second home, the owners wanted a clean and simple layout free of fuss while still acknowledging the mid-century vibe that has made Palm Springs, California so commended. But instead of executing an all white layout, darker colors were combined with pockets of white allowing the powder coating to truly shine. A simple parsons table sits beside a powder coated steel bar while ample counter space, in the kitchen enables the owners to entertain guests and cook to course. Quartz countertops, powder coated steel cabinets that flip upward, and subway tile that extends beyond the cabinets are a few of our favorite details in this space. The X Table was designed to outfit the living room, as were the hanging cabinets which sit parallel from the two piece vanity— all crafted from steel. If you look closely you’ll find a 1940s laboratory hutch that Moya Living restored. This served as our inspiration for The Kitchen System.
